Circumcision and phimosis are often combined together, so many people are confused as to what circumcision is and what circumcision is not. What is circumcision? In fact, circumcision and prepuce are two different diseases. How do you differentiate between these two common and easily confused diseases, and what should you do if you are suffering from circumcision and prepuce?
Circumcision
In clinical practice, patients sometimes ask how long the foreskin is considered long, in fact, there is no specific size, under normal erection, the glans can be exposed, if the glans is still not exposed when erect, the foreskin is too long, it should be reminded that the foreskin of young children can cover the entire head of the penis, until 4 to 5 years old, the penis is erect, the glans urethral orifice can often be naturally exposed a little, if the foreskin still grows out of the glans 1cm or If the foreskin is still 1cm or longer than the glans, it can be regarded as circumcision. In adolescence, the male genital organs develop and the penis becomes longer, when the penis is erect, the glans can be exposed mostly or fully exposed, if it still cannot be exposed and the foreskin is manually turned up to the coronal sulcus and then quickly moves down to cover the glans, it can be diagnosed as circumcision.
Phimosis
In the case of prepuce, the foreskin cannot be turned up at all, which directly limits the exposure of the glans, and prepuce can be divided into congenital and acquired, congenital prepuce means that the patient cannot turn up the foreskin, if forced to turn up, it will lead to tearing of the inner and outer skin of the foreskin mouth and fracture of the subcutaneous fibrous tissue, even if the foreskin is strongly turned up, it will be stuck on the coronal groove of the penis and the penis will be embedded. Circumcision can also be classified as acquired, generally due to trauma to the foreskin, inappropriate circumcision surgery, repeated infections of the foreskin opening, etc. can cause scarring narrowing of the outer foreskin opening.
The fundamental difference between the two is that circumcision has no external narrowing while prepuce has. Patients with circumcision can manually turn up the foreskin to reveal the glans and no tearing of the foreskin skin will occur, while patients with prepuce cannot turn up the foreskin to reveal the glans.
Warm tip: Not all circumcised people need to be exhausted circumcision, but usually must pay attention to cleanliness and hygiene to prevent the production and accumulation of foreskin scale, which is a very critical focus.
