Reasons for the occurrence of pityriasis albuginea

Pityriasis albuginea is quite common in preschool children as well as in adolescents, and is particularly prevalent in children with dry skin or darker skin tones. Pityriasis albuginea can occur alone or as a manifestation of atopic dermatitis. In addition, the occurrence of white furuncle may also be related to sun exposure, nutritional imbalance, improper skin care, etc. There are also very few and parasitic infection related.

1, excessive sun exposure. White pity rash will be more common in spring and summer, many children will appear white pity rash after prolonged exposure to the sun outdoors.

Nowadays, living conditions are greatly improved, infection with parasites (mainly intestinal parasites) is extremely rare in the city, so when children appear white pityriasis, should first consider other causes of the disease, not parasitic infection, and do not take “worming medicine” for children without authorization.

Pityriasis is not vitiligo

However, sometimes pityriasis alba does easily confuse with vitiligo, especially for very young children. Parents are advised to observe first, adjust the diet and enhance emolliency. Prevention and treatment of pityriasis albuginea

Pityriasis albuginea can usually go away on its own and does not require medication. For children who are prone to pityriasis albuginea, parents can do the following to prevent pityriasis albuginea.

1、Seriously skin care. Pay attention to skin moisturizing, carefully apply moisturizing cream, can focus on the appearance of white spots in the part of the application.

2, pay attention to sun protection. Try to avoid going out when the sun is strong. If you need to go out, do a good job of sun protection measures, such as wearing a hat or applying sunscreen.

3、Balanced diet. Pay attention to a balanced diet, consume more fresh vegetables and fruits, and reduce the intake of high-fat and high-sugar foods.
